Pyoderma Gangrenosum disease

      It is a condition that causes tissue to become necrotic, causing deep ulcers that usually occur on the legs. When they occur, they can lead to chronic wounds. Ulcers usually initially look like small bug bites or papules, and they progress to larger ulcers. Though the wounds rarely lead to death, they can cause pain and scarring.

      The patient we are working with is a 60 years old male, had this chronic wound for eight years, never healed. He had undergone three surgeries attempted to patch the wound with skin grafts taken from other parts of his body, and all without success. We started working on his case on 22/11/2014, we have conducted 8 hypnotherapy sessions so far and this report was written on 13 March 2015. Down are the weekly images compared to the wound's state in the day of the first session.

Update: 13 April 2015

The newly generated tissue has covered the wound area completely, (see the last photo) so the work we were asked to do was done.

Notice: All sessions (both the cognitive and the hypnotic parts) with this patient were conducted online (Skype) and facilitated by an excellent translator (the client didn't speak English).
